Study with me
Since 2023, I have been teaching cello at the HKB in Bern, Switzerland. The HKB has a fantastic team of cello teachers and offers a variety of courses. Every year, I have a (limited) number of places available for bachelor and master students. Entrance exams are in April. If you would like to study with me, please contact me to schedule a trial lesson. You are also welcome to attend one of our student concerts!
As a teacher, my goal is to provide you with a comprehensive musical education tailored to your individual talents and aspirations. In our rapidly changing musical world, traditional jobs are becoming less common, but there are abundant opportunities for versatile and creative musicians. Therefore, we will work on a variety of musical styles and techniques while building a strong and adaptable foundation.
If you are interested in baroque cello, 19th-century performance, or contemporary music, you can study these in my class without needing to specialize. However, if you wish to focus more deeply on a specific style, this is also possible in one of our specialized master's programs.
I strongly believe in the power of collaborative teaching and learning. At the HKB, you will benefit from the insights and expertise of multiple teachers and departments, as well as the support and feedback from a wonderful group of peers from various backgrounds.
Important as they are, cello classes are just the tip of the iceberg - the real work happens in the practice room. I aim to guide you in becoming an expert at practicing, finding joy and creativity in your daily routines. Effective practice techniques are essential for your growth and success as a musician.
